HISTORY

The restaurant is located at the Gare de Lyon train station, one of the city's six railway stations. In 1901, the president of the republic at the time inaugurated a buffet space inside the station that, in 1963, became Le Train Bleu.

WHY THIS PLACE

It didn't take long for the place to become a meeting point for Parisian high society and artists. And no wonder: in addition to the glamor of the place, there are about 42 works of art scattered throughout the restaurant. Being at Le Train Bleu is practically going back a few years and arriving at the French Belle Époque thanks to the decor. The chairs, tables and other furniture are from the period and the wood and gold decoration give the special touch.

CURIOSITIES

Le Train Bleu has two rooms where the restaurant is located and also a bar area with lounges. The interesting thing is that there you can also get to know a little more about the place, since from time to time an employee passes by the tables telling the story of the restaurant and the works of art. Yes, it is both a gastronomic and cultural tour.
